M3GIM mobility starter: 12 statements from 6 documents, 3 places, 1952-1957.
Research question: Which places are documented, when, and in what context?

Derived from m3gim-mobility-evidence.csv, the former 40-statement teaching
sample archived in repository commit f2d0608. Only the starter is distributed now. Source revision: bec2a068802e9f2cb9885df072699b269d6efaa9.

This is a purpose-selected teaching sample, not representative mobility data.

The selection pairs correspondence dates with references to events in Munich
and Bayreuth, and contrasts Vienna guest-performance dates recorded in a payment
document with later correspondence. Bayreuth has two statements on 1954-08-09.
Six documents produce twelve statements; statements are not independent events.

Unchanged fields: evidence_id, document_id, date, place, recorded_role, title,
source_statement and source_url. The evidence ID retains the upstream CSV row
number (header counted as row 1). Full person links and object provenance remain
in the archived original sample. No gender labels were inferred.

Added teaching fields:
- date_type: document = document creation; event = a referred-to event date;
  mention = a date mentioned in correspondence, without a specific event claim.
  An event label does not establish occurrence or attendance.
- date_status: not_flagged = no date uncertainty flagged in the supplied notes,
  NOT verified certainty; inferred_year = year explicitly inferred by cataloguer;
  inferred_day = day inferred from 'yesterday'; year_requires_review = conservative
  teaching flag for related events in the enquiry containing the inferred year.
- note: original cataloguing_note and context_note joined without omission;
  any added caution is explicitly labelled 'Teaching flag'.

Bayreuth 1954-08-07 has an explicitly inferred year. The two 1954-08-09 statements
receive the separate teaching flag because their relation to that inferred year
requires review. This does not claim that the cataloguer separately flagged them.
The Munich mention 1952-11-08 is inferred from 'yesterday'.
Payment and performance dates must remain distinct. Document creation does not
establish the recipient's location. Attendance and travel routes remain unconfirmed.
Fields were checked against the original CSV; facsimiles were not re-examined.

Rebuild from a Git checkout with repository history:
python scripts/build-mobility-starter.py
The script reads the former sample from commit f2d0608, without restoring it
as a download. Original sample and provenance are recorded in that commit.
